    Concealed Carry

Well, it’s been a few days. I took the hammer out of the gun and smoothed the corners and the serrations a little bit on a belt sander with leather strop and black compound. With edges cleaned up, it doesn’t get hung up as bad while wearing a coat. It would catch clothes while wearing a coat...

    Concealed Carry

Thanks everyone for for the great replies. I think that I’m going to take the hammer assembly out and soften the edges on the hammer. Hopefully that will prevent the hammer from snagging the cover garment. If that doesn’t work, I’m going to bob the hammer. I have been a revolver guy all my life...

    Concealed Carry

It catches on my coat while I’m wearing it. I’ve tried wearing a shirt that covers the gun while wearing coats and it catches on the shirt also. I always used to wear work clothes, but now I don’t need to as I’m now recently retired.

    Concealed Carry

First time for a post. Great forum! I have been carrying a revolver for around thirty years. Here lately the hammer has been catching on my coat. I have been wearing a different kind of coat due to it being so cold. I carry a Ruger Speed Six OWB most of the time. Short of bobbing the hammer...

    22 conversion

I read somewhere that there was a barrel insert that would convert a shotgun to a 22. Is this true, I've tried to find more info but no luck. If it is true, has anyone tried this.

    Any Ruger "Six" Junkies?

Rexter, when you ordered your Milt Sparks holster, did you order it for a speed six or do you order it for a K frame? When I called Milt Sparks, they said that they didn't make a holster for the speed six.

    Marlin 1894C

I'm pretty new to rifles and I have a few questions. I'm thinking of getting a Marlin 1894C chambered in .357. Would this be an adequate rifle for deer hunting? The reason that I'm thinking of this caliber is because I have a few 357 revolvers and I thought that it would be nice to have a gun in...

    Remington 870 vs Ithaca 37

Forgive me if this has been asked before, I'm new to the shot gunning world and have a question. What do you prefer, the remington 870 self defense/field combo or the Ithaca 37. I would use it primarly for self defense, but if bad things were to come down, I would need to be able to hunt with it...

Ithaca Model 37 vs Remington 870

I'm new to shotguns and have read alot about these two guns. Both of them have had good ratings. I'm leaning towards the Ithaca since I'm left handed and it ejects from the bottom. Anyone have feedback on both of the guns and which would you prefer? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Shooting Left Handed

I've been thinking about getting a shotgun just for HD for awhile now. I'm a left handed shooter and I'm not sure what is available for left handed shooters. From what I've read on other posts on this forum, I think that I need something light and that I can get on target fast. Any suggestions...

    Any suggestions for a 3" S&W

I currently am looking for a 3" S&W revolver. Does anyone have some suggestions for this revolver? It can be .38 or .357. I own a 642 and a Ruger Service Six with 4" barrel along with other bottom feeders. But, I just love revolvers!! Thanks for your input.
