I know of someone who used trail cameras to get pictures of trespassers. He recognized a couple of them and turned pictures over to the sheriff. Sheriff's deputies visited trespassers with pictures and gave final warning to them. No more problems.

I have written several times to DirectTV to try to convince them to carry the Sportsman's Channel. No luck so far. If anyone else wants to try to apply some heat, they may eventually pay attention to their subscribers...especially if Intermedia is in discussions with them.

Another vote here in favor of the Thunder .380. I have one and it's my favorite CCW gun. No problems at all with it, easy to carry, very accurate and a great value.

BTW, if you're going to use a climbing stand, I highly recommend the Hunter Safety System harness/vest. It's much easier to put on than the system that comes with the Viper, is easy to use, has pockets for accessories, and really helps make me feel safe should something go wrong with my stand.

I've taken deer with my .270 with only one shot each time. (One of them at about 125 yds.) It sounds like this guy's shots weren't so "well placed". Still, I nudge the deer with my barrel (with a round chambered) when I first walk up to it.

I put the mercury tube in mine. Not sure I can tell any difference, but I usually only shoot my Nova when I'm duck hunting and I'm usually wearing enough cold weather clothing to absorb any recoil! A fellow hunter shot mine and complained about the recoil, but I really don't notice it.

I have a Nova. I bought it for duck hunting because I didn't want my Brownings to undergo the abuse a duck hunting gun gets. I love the Nova. Mine has performed flawlessly and I think it's a great gun for the money.
