    642 in a pocket?

A Different Opinion... Just a few thoughts to add. Body type seems to make a huge difference here and I don't just mean it's tough for the skinny guys. I'm FAR from skinny and I find front pocket carry a bit tough. I believe it's partly because I have large thighs, particularly my quads. This...

    M&p 340

DAdams, I carry a 642 everyday so I'm good to go- I just want to upgrade to a 340. :D

    M&p 340

Nice post/pics 911Boss and welcome to THR. I still don't have a 340M&P yet but I keep up with this thread because it's the next gun I plan to buy. Maybe by Christmas  I was just looking at your pics again and it almost looks like the side plate on your 340 is not sitting flush with the...

    Kahr P380

I've been surprised by the lack of buzz around the net regarding the P380. I realize it will be relatively high-priced for most people but I still expected more interest than I've seen so far. Maybe it's just a lack of fan-fare on Kahr's side.

    Kahr P380

Well, isn't that lovely  If they get it right the wait will be worth it though. My problem is that the longer I have to wait the closer I come to settling for an LCP.

    naa pug?

I carry my my Pug everyday as BUG and I love it. I am much more confident in it's reliability than I am with ANY of the midget autos on the market.

    M&p 340

With regards to the Crimson Trace grips... I stick a small piece of duct tape over the lens before I clean my 642. The lens is recessed so it does not get any sticky on it, nor does it get any cleaning fluids on it :D

DAdams, nice pics of your 340. The pic with the Fenix came out particularly well. jfh, thanks for the chrono work. The Buffalo Bore stuff looks fantastic.

I'm sure it would work just fine. Toothpaste has mild polishing compounds in it- That's why it makes your teeth feel smooth and removes plaque. Toothpaste will also polish metals and plastics. I've used it to smooth the twisting motion on some of my flashlights. My biggest concern would be...

    The 642 club

I used to think I wanted to port my J because I'm a "bells & whistles" kind of guy. I have since decided against this on any self defense gun. My reason for this is that there is a good chance that I will be shooting the gun in a close to the body firing stance. I don't like the idea of unburnt...

I can't imagine a gun store having 19 J's in stock all at once :what: Most stores around here will only have 1 or 2 Centenials and a few with exposed hammers.

jt1, have you shot those 158g BB's yet? I'm interested in that round and I'm wondering how they were to shoot. How do they compare to the 135g Gold Dots? Thanks.

    M&p 340

I've got a 3" 65 already but I sure do want a 340! I'd like to set up my 642 with a Barami Hip Grip and a Tyler T and convince my wife to carry it. Then I can put my 405's on the 340
