I am trying to find an open carry holster for this gun. It is a little old but a lot of us really like this gun. I would like something with a little more retention then this one I have that just has a snap. It is an Uncle Mikes holster and not really good enough any more.
thank you for your help. My grandpa's rifle was made in 1897 and I did not have much ammo for it. I had it taken to a gunsmith for cleaning. He did not say anything about it so I figure I can use this new ammo in it.
Can anyone tell me what the difference between the 7.65 Argentine and the 7.65 X 57 Argentine? I am not at all sure if they are different or interchangeable. Sorry to be a dummy on this one.
Thanks,
I would except that i am waiting to get to the range with what I have loaded. I love to reload and get that just right combination for the gun for just fun shooting.
I am wondering what folks that open carry would think. I am a old man with not a lot of money. I have a S&W 6906 no one that I can find makes a holster that has a retention on it other than a snap break holster. Does anyone else open carry with a leather holster and just a spring snap holster.
I now live in a open carry state and I have been looking at the NAA belt buckle. Does anyone have one and what do you think of it. I have only seen one once and thought they looked good but maybe kind of dumb. Any what do you think?
I got my model 29 back in the mid 1980's. I dont know for sure when. If my wife would let me open carry instead of CCW it would be me gun of choice. With hand loading it is not terribly high priced to shoot. It will be the last gun I get rid of. I shoot 44 specials and carry light 44 mag...
I have an old 44 special that I load about 5.6 of Bullseye. I like it and the way it feels. I think that I really get a lot of smoke out of it. At least compared to factory ammo. I have not shot it in a long time but even the cases come out blackened. At least a lot more than the same load in...
My son had me come in and watch is program from National Geographic. I saw a couple of things that I saw was strange.
The first one was a guy had a 22 mag revolver with at least a 12" barrel for 'bear protection'. He said it was all he needed against the brown bear on that island. Claimed...
Jut for the fun of it I took a Raven to the range this week. I have not shot the little gun in about 25 years. You know the crazy little gun worked perfect? I was surprised. I have not done anything with it for all that time. I had not had any problems before. Do you know if anyone works...
I gun proofed my kids at a very young age. When my daughter was about 3 I took her out and had her pull the trigger on a rifle I was holding. Problem was solved. Take you kids shoot a watermellon or a glass jar of water (clean up the glass). It makes them understand really quick that a gun...
I have been wearing mine for about a week now. Other than I can't tuck it in it seems to work well. I could not wear it to church today because of the non tuckable. Other than this it is pretty good.
It really feels strange. It feels like all a person did is stick the gun in the waist band with nothing holding it at all. Took a little bit to get used to it. I do not think I would carry it with out a safety though. It must have the trigger guard though I almost hit the trigger putting it...
I was looked at once I know he knew i was carrying. He just did not say anything. I hav3e been wearing it behind my belt hooked to my pants. Never had a problem
