I've bought a lot of used guns over the last 70 yrs. The only ones I regret are the few "Off Brands" that had no parts available for repairs. If the main components of the used gun (barrel/receiver/slide/bolt/lower/frame) are not damaged and the small parts are available, I can fix it. I'll...
For me, the 365 is too large and heavy for pocket carry. I did carry a P3AT in a pocket holster for a short time as backup before I changed to the belt clip. I've carried IWB for most of the 50+ yrs I've carried a gun. The availability of good IWB holsters has been a blessing.
My LC9s Pro has a lot more felt recoil than my 365 or XDs. In spite of that, I find it to be accurate, and the trigger is really nice for a Ruger. It does wear on you after a 100 rds. The 365 is much less tiring to shoot.
As total concealment is a priority, get a belt clip for your pistol. It makes the Ruger or Kel Tec practically invisible even with a tucked shirt. Belt clip over the waist band and behind the belt.
I've been carrying and shooting a 365 for about 3 yrs now. The only changes I've made are replacing the sights, and moving the mag release to the right side. It has been totally reliable with any ammo I've tried. That includes a half dozen types and weights of carry ammo, and a "Lot" of my...
I have a couple of mini .380s. When the Kel Tec P3ATs first came out I bought two. My wife carried one, the other was a backup to my duty gun. I managed to qualify with the little bugger, (50 rds) by the time I finished the quals, my hand would be bleeding. The belt clip I had installed would...
I have made the commitment to shoot only my carry gun in IDPA matches this year. I've been shooting IDPA several times a month for the last 20 yrs or so, always with full size pistols. I'm getting up in years, and have decided to see how much (if any) I can improve my performance with the little...
"You get to decide when you carry your gun, someone else gets to decide when you need it."
I would add, we all should carry a gun that we can fight with. That excludes most pocket pistols, although any gun is better than none at all. I try to never be more than seconds away from having a gun in...
There are a lot of concealable single stack nines available these days, you have to try several to find "The One". The Kahr and the LC9s are two of the best. Both have good triggers, actually the LC9s has the best out of the box striker trigger I've come across. This is based on the one example...
I think you're "spot on". Our society is over medicated, it's an especially bad thing for young developing minds. It's not likely to change, the medical community in general is making billions of dollars feeding us unnecessary, dangerous, even deadly, drugs.

Thanks Rob. I hadn't considered that. I haven't touched the gun in years. Perhaps I'll dig it out of the safe and check that out. Even if I don't use the gun, it would be nice to have it function reliably.

I've owned two of the P-11s, still have one. I gave the reliable one to a daughter in law. The other resides in it's case somewhere in the back of the safe. It was plagued with light strikes from the day I bought it. (Used) I'm pretty sure a new hammer spring will fix it, the light strike issue...
Can't believe I read this entire thread! I actually found it quite entertaining. Post #12 was the highlight of the entire thread. Great job! Among my handguns, I have a dozen or so nines, and five forties. I'm a long time reloader, and load for everything I own. I find the forty to be a great...
