RL-15 is the best powder I have found for my 7-30 Waters. I have been loading it for years and love it. For me, nothing else has come close in this caliber.

472x1A/B - great advice.
I must be lucky as I too have cast 15-20,000 bullets with my Lee molds and have never had issues closing them. Check the pivot bolt as stated above. I have not found a need to lubricate my molds. I do use a match to coat the inside of the mold cavity with a thin...
I notice that there are many other powder choices available and some appear to replace 2400. I am sure that the other powders are good, but I still plan to continue using 2400 as long as I can. Locally, I have not noticed any supply interruption.
I have a VZ-24 action with a 24" ER Shaw barrel. The best combination so far is a 140gr Hornady BTHP match bullet (#2633) that has been moly coated over 43.8gr of IMR 4831 using WLR primers. The oal is 2.805. My best 5 shot group at 100yds measured .501".
I shoot a Remington 600 w/ an 18" barrel. I have tried IMR 3031 and Hod Bl-C2 and enjoyed good results. In 1995, I switched to Win 760 for this rifle. It has been the best powder for me.
I have purchased recently some 8mm from PRVI Partisan. My rifle's bore slugged at .323 and this ammo shoots great. I plan to reload myself when I have shot all of the factory rounds. It is very good ammo and I paid $15/box.
I have tried several different powders, but about three years ago I settled on RL-15. This is the only powder I use now. It gives great results from my Contender.
I have one that was made in 1948. Just acquired it recently for $100.00. All numbers match and it appeared to be unfired. The bluing is perfect and the bore looks like a mirror. My father and I shot it with WWB ammo and it is amazing how well it shoots. I cannot believe this rifle is so...
All three of these headstamps are fine to use. I reload all of them. The only brass I discard immediately is "A-merc". S & B headstamps seem to have a little tighter primer pockets, but I have never encountered a problem loading them.
