Can any semi be smithed to fit a suppressor such as a standard 1911 type or the Ruger MK 111s? I already know there are the standard factory types that are machined for an aftermarket suppressor but I'm interested in picking up a 22lr 1911 or Ruger target barrel.

No. All you really need is a shotgun with flight control rounds and 22LR in semi. A hot 22 round will kill you dead from a long ways away.
