Yeah I have to wait to see if I can be approved to post or something on the luger forum. But yeah I did notice the numbers did not match on the barrel. If I overpaid some I do not really care. I have been looking for a Luger for a good while and they just do not pop up much around here. If...
So they thought it was non matching because the front has 4 numbers and the other parts only have the last two. It was also labeled as "no cal" since there is no markings on it saying what it shoots. I paid $925 for it. Not that I really care about value. It would be nice to have not got...
I have that expensive Luger book around somewhere. I just have to find it. And I got into the Lugerforum but cannot post for a while since I am new or something....But it does seem there are some people who might know a lot about these things there. I really love the gun. It feels just...
Ok thanks. Yeah maybe someone will come across this who can confirm or tell me a bit more. But I appreciate the information. That is more than I had so far.
I am pretty sure its a 7.65x21. It's ok to buy a gun not knowing what cartridge it shoots right? The hole in the barrel looked smaller than 9mm. I did notice that. And looking in the barrel from the other end it looks like its contoured to the necked down one.
I picked up my first Luger today. I have wanted one for a years just never came across one I liked at the right price. Anyone know anything about this gun?
Yeah the $700 stripped lowers are not really happening anymore. Everything is more expensive than it was and will probably stay that way for some time. For a little while before the run on stuff quality gun stuff was just everywhere and pretty cheap. I think PSA was putting out just great...
When ar's were through the roof prices I considered selling one of them. That would still leave me 3 complete and 2 complete lowers but I just could not do it. I lay them out and then imagine them but with one missing and it makes me sad. I would just want it back again. Its the same way...
I will not speak for every PBS show but from my experience Frontline seems to do a pretty darn good job of staying objective. That cannot be easily said for lots of stuff I see on one side or the other. If you are looking for pro or anti gun show go somewhere else.
The LCP is a great little gun that basically disappears in your pocket with a nice leather holster. I have looked at others like the lc9 but they just look and feel huge compared to the lcp. With some good bullets the lcp would be a lot better than nothing. A Glock 19 or like model gun is...
I like my Glock 29sf a lot. Its a pretty compact, accurate, and reliable handgun that shoots a pretty big fast bullet. The downside is cost of factory ammo. It was the gun that forced me kicking and screaming into reloading. I can shoot the thing with minimal expense now.
Yeah that is not good. Crappy factory ammo. I hate the stuff. When I got mine I bought a box of 350 grain factory loads. It had a nice boom to it. When I loaded up some of my own it was a different gun. Much much bigger explosion. Really good stuff. It would be seem to be easy to notice...
So I assume S&W will not put the two little extractor alignment pins back for me? Maybe if I send it back enough times and make a huge fuss about it they will. Or at least bring them back on future models maybe. Yeah with a $1000 gun and $1.50 a shot or so I was not exactly a super budget...
I understand that normally you would not eject the revolver shells with the barrel down. Kinda the same way you would probably not eject and auto mag with the closed end of the mag facing the sky. I just never remember having a revolver that let the shells slip by the star with the gun in any...
I played with the gun doing what nofishbob did and get pretty much the same results. I think I now agree with what he said that "No amount of fitting improvement of the star is likely to fix this issue." With barrel pointed straight down they do not fall off till the very end. I will work...
Yeah it does not make me super happy that I explain how the star is not fitting the cylinders very well and I get it back I think worse than when I sent it in. There was no explanation of what was done either. I will contact them again and see what they can do.
Yeah some of that might be unavoidable due to what you say about shell length. That does make sense. But still there seems to be a pretty large amount of slop in how the star lines up with cylinder holes on mine. If the star fit tight around the holes and it still did that I would not have as...
