I had to register just to reply to this. I have to second Carlos Cabeza's idea. If you know ANY youngsters in your area that you can trust with a BB gun (neighbors, relatives, ANYONE) see if they would be interested in shooting the sparrows for you. I spent A LOT of time in my childhood...
