it's a forum, so let's not take it too personally. At the end of the day, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I won't be back for a few days since i'm a busy guy.. again, i'm not trolling.
opening weekend is this weekend in WI.. Good luck to you guys.
After watching a ton of shows on the outdoors channel, I get the feeling that a 'Ranch' is a private owned land surrounded by fences to fence the animals inside. Hunters come to these ranches and pay $$$$. They can choose to hunt alone or hunt with a guide. One thing is almost guaranteed: The...
kyle1974,
Little or huge number of games....... It's about doing your homework. Taking your time scouting and you know, doing the necessary stuff. Would you feel better if you were able to repair your car yourself to get it running or take it to the mechanic shop? Maybe it's just me.. I like...
btw, those dangerous Africa wild hunts are also lame. Riding on a truck with several guide. I could see why those instant oil change and other quick service places make so much money. Some people are either too lazy to do it themselves or just doesn't know how..
Reminds me of some hollywood...
BK,
Seriously? haha! I've experienced the true nature of hunting far more than you... I've hunted in Laos/Thailand jungle using wooden spears, home made long bows, and cheap russian rifles with open sights and i thought they were accurate. I never had your 1/8 MOA rifles or those awesome modern...
And.. hunting with guides guiding you is so lame.... Maybe it's just me, but i like to do my homework when it comes to hunting. I like surprises and never knowing exactly what will run into me or i will run into. Not just pay someone to take me to this awesome secret spot and kill a trophy...
damn.. so many responses.. (I have been busy and no, I wasn't trolling) I didn't read all of the responses, but i'm sure i got flamed or hated on for even starting this thread....but anyways...................
I've never hunted on a ranch, but I think it's pretty lame. I was watching on the...
thanks.. i showed her the correct way to rack it, but still struggles. Maybe she's not using the right muscles. I also showed her how to correctly draw a 30lb bow, she couldn't. She's a strong woman for her size. Handles the G27 like me... just can't rack the slide..LOL!
will show her again...
CCW just recently passed in WI. I have an XD9 and G19. Girl friend absolutely struggles to rack slide. Won't work for her.
What other hand guns would be easy for her to use? I would really hate going with revolvers(She hates it).
22LR? 22WMR. Thinking about Keltec PMR30, but that thing...
"Over the weekend I was down in the Tulsa, OK area on my cousin's ranch! My counsin allowed us to kill one of his 70 cows to consume. My brother shot the 700/800 lbs cow with our cousin's 22 magnum! First shot at about 8 yards right in the forehead head! It slowly walked off! 2nd shot and...
just grab a 17hmr rifle.. Cost slightly more to shoot, but who cares.. It ain't gonna make you broke. At least i hope not.. $12/box of 50 isn't bad. Who really shoots like 500 rounds a day anyway. i get bored after like a few boxes since the rifle is so accurate..
I own 2 savage 17hmr's and can...
No.. @ least not to me. I've used those $10 weaver rings on .223/.308/12 gauge shotguns and held up just fine. You gotta be balling to spend like $50-$100 for a set of rings. I saw a pair of Leupold rings for $80 and i thought someone had to be smoking some good shiet to give it that price.
