How long to let Hornady One-Shot case lube spray dry?

I have trouble with .270 and .222 cases sticking with One Shot. Have stopped using it for them. Works just fine for straight-walled and tapered cases in rifle and pistol.

THAT can't be good for accuracy.....

I find that I bend these rods on my Dillon press. For some reason, the RCBS dies and the Dillon press cause a problem--can't adjust the .222 Rem. die and decapper rod to properly punch out the primer without the rod being at the bottom of the case when the ram is at the top position. I bend...

    Worst powder you have used

I like Hodgdon powders, but not this one. We too had problems with Lil'Gun. .32-20 odd caking when ignited, globs of powder in the chamber/barrel, slugs stuck in barrel. We were using published load data and proper/good primers, snug crimp. Never have seen anything like that before or...

    Worst powder you have used

In defense of Titegroup: It can be seen in the case when reloading if you position a light to shine down into the case--which is a good practice for all reloading sessions. It does leave residue on the gun, but Flitz on a rag will easily/quickly remove the color. It has served me well...

    270 Win & 150gr bullets?

I've tried both H380 and H4831SC. Both performed quite well in our Remington 700's, but the H380 worked best in my son's Ruger. We load H380 in 130 gr Sierra BT for most applications. 150 gr. Sierra BT for elk. Our load data is out in the shop. If you want specifics, let me know.

Springfield loaded 1911 shooting low left?

Since I don't know if you are laughing at me or with me--I figured people here would know that the Delta Elite is a 10mm not a .45. I also figured the .45 caps would not fit the 10mm.

Springfield loaded 1911 shooting low left?

Mine is a Delta Elite. Those .45 caps--might have to use a big hammer and punch to get them to chamber!

Springfield loaded 1911 shooting low left?

Hitting low and left here also. I've had my 1911 for about a month. I knew it was something I was doing, and everyone's advice seems to fit the problem. I had read a few articles on how to grip semi handguns, and those I saw said to grip quite firmly. After reading this thread, I'll try a...

    Dillon 550b and two calibers

It sounds more difficult than it is. Get in touch with Brian Enos through the internet, and he will set you up with everything you need. You'll reload one cartridge batch--1000? Then switch out parts for the other 1000. You won't believe how easy it is to load these two calibers.

    Hunting in Oregon?

If it is pheasants you want and can't find public birds, why not buy several birds from a local breeder? I raise pheasants just to have them around, so it has been years since I knew the going rate for birds. You could buy the birds, drive out to an area, carry the birds into the field...

Shooting buddy wants to start reloading and needs advice.

My preference is based on asking questions and researching prior to purchasing the press. I read the discussions regarding the merits and failings of various presses until I became saturated with the repetition of brand and model characteristics. I talked with press owners. I am not a...

I'd guess a tax return is worth two hands and an eye--(not to mention, the gun).

    Shooting reloads

I reload for my wife, my sons, my daughter-in-law, my younger brother, and my lifelong friend and his family. They are not in danger when shooting my cartridges. I take it slow, check everything. Their well-being is most important to me. I prefer they and their friends shoot my reloads...

Just started yesterday... this is fun!

Josh, You should be able to find most of those answers by running searches for each topic. --They are good questions. Some folks do not lube when using a carbide die, but I'd say if you use a spray, Hornady One Shot, you will have an easier time of reloading. A thrower will definitely...

    RCBS dies in Dillon 550.

Some of the calibers I load on my 550B, I seat in the three hole and use a Lee Factory Crimp Die in the fourth. A couple things I've found to be different between the RCBS single stage and the 550B-- Sometimes the crimp won't hold for my old Winchester calibers. I exhaust all adjustment...

    Dillon 550 powder charge changing...

I agree with JJohnson. Check the collar. If those two screws are the slightest bit loose, you will get a varied result. Are the screws on your powder bar/throw system tight? The one you unscrew to change out powder bars--that has the lock-nut on it? With a three grain difference, I'd be...

Shooting buddy wants to start reloading and needs advice.

Dillon's 550B is likely the best choice, considering he is beginning. If he is serious, have him contact Brian Enos. Brian will set him up with exactly what he needs to load those calibers. If he doesn't consult with Enos, he will likely duplicate some of the accessories he purchases; thus...
