    It's time to calm down

Another important thing to consider is that now that the Supreme court has begun to see Second amendment cases we could possibly see all arms restrictions and regulations dropped. As it is these laws infringe upon our second amendment rights, and now would be a very good time to have cases...

    Building myself a M40

The numbers are not necessary. I am not sure where I got 26" from. And point take about the time in barrel. Most of the intel i have gathered thus far has been word of mouth from fellas off base. Any stock recommendations, if no one disagrees with the Mcmillan stock I believe ill be purchasing...

What to do if a cop pulls you over and youve got a handgun.

It will be different in any state depending on regulations and such.

On the website they are advertising a .75 group. 1 1/2 with human error perhaps.

    Building myself a M40

Well, to be honestly, the 30" barrel was just sort of a preference for me. USMC uses a 26" barrel. I guess going traditional would be the best option, figured if i didn't like it i could just shorten it and recrown, it is only $20 extra for the 4 inches. That is a very interesting deal chuck...

    Building myself a M40

Hello all, it's me again ! Now I am looking to do some work on my Remington 700 that I was given as a gift. It is chambered in .308 and I am going to turn it into a M40a1. I have found the components and was wondering you some of you more experienced fellas could give me advice on where to find...

How much ammo do you keep on hand?

Enough to satisfy both my range time, and knowing that I can defend my home if needed.

    Camping/Backpacking Pistols

Your intent while backpacking and camping is normally not to kill anyways. Fines for killing a black bear in calif are outrageous. Every time but once that i have seen a black bear while packing they have skittered off without any bother. Only once have I had to take out my weapon, and even then...

    Camping/Backpacking Pistols

Highly depends where you are going camping. I myself spend time in the High sierras in california. So i carry a .44 mag in case an agitated bear comes about, and a High-Standard .22 pistol for plinking and such. snakes should really not be much of a bother if you just avoid them... Whenever...

.45 ACP a bad choice for first handgun

I might also suggest a browning high-power. It is my first pistol and service side arm and it is a stellar piece of equipment. Highly reliable, 9mm, 13 round mag, only weighs about 32 oz. easy to disassemble and clean. and possibly my favorite feature is that it has a magazine safety included...

    Let's see some AK Pics

If you do not care for the information then ignore it. I'm just saying, the stock of your weapon is a utility as well. those side folders take away from that utility. I should have phrased the above post more carefully i suspect.

    Let's see some AK Pics

I don't mean to be insulting but those side folding stocks are terrible. Disrupts the full use of the weapon while folded and good luck ifyou need to use the butt of the firearm. Stick with the fixed stock ! All are very nice weapons tho ! keep them clean and they will be a workhorse forever :)

    AR15: Buy Now or Later?

I think that you should not worry as much about gun prices with obama as much as a Supreme court ruling. As soon as the supreme court actually hears a case regarding exactly what the second amendment pertains to and all restrictions and laws regarding firearms are seen as unconstitutional and...

I need more of your infinite knowledge

Well, on the savage 250 it looked as though it had been left out in the sun for too long almost, the wood was darker on one side than on the other. It was not warped at all, just discolored. When i inspected the barrel there was a ding on the bottom side, looked like someone had dropped it on...

I need more of your infinite knowledge

I have the opportunity to make some purchases but I need to check in with you fellows to make sure it is worth the purchase. I have NO idea about either of these rifles. The first is a Yugo SKS for $150. The stock is very well kept, very few dings and the metal is preserved. Very clean...

Back from my first range trip

With me I brought my best friend (who is also going to attending Scout/Sniper school in the Marine Corp) my brand new CZ452 .22lr. He brought along his 30-06, Rem. 770 7mm mag, and his armalite AR-15. the CZ preformed flawlessly. I was firing CCI .22lr. I will post my groups once i have a...
