One of the guys I hunt with has a 7mm tikka ss hunter .I think that's the model. It does have some plastic on the rear of the bolt I think but a replacement metal piece can be bought. Accurate it surely is with a very nice trigger. It would be a #1 choice for me today but in a light stainless...
Then buy a a barrel like this-
http://ar15performance.com/inc/sdetail/11562/18272
Melonite finish gives you the wear characteristics or better of a chrome bore. 1:8 twist for a wide range of bullet weight and R5 rifling in a mid weight design. Enough barrel length to make a quality shot to...
Read this and learn but note this paragraph first-
•Due to the large volume of applications that the section has received this year, processing time has been increased to 120 business days.

Wilson ARMS is a great barrel when talking heavy barrels with a 223 wydle chamber as it will shoot ether 223 or 5,56 . Wilson combat is a different grade of barrel more inline with your dpms. mid production grade.
I feel like I have read this elsewhere . What do you want a barrel to do ...
tahunua001 Yea your right , did not make war time in ww2 but was devolved in the grand design before wwII but the old standard 06 made the carry over . Just had to wait for nam.
Calaverasslim Most of use are getting old. Your hang'un with good company.
NO the 308 is not even close to the 7.62x54r
308 is a little faster than the 7.62x51 round and a little higher pressure. Just the opposite from the 223 and 5.56x45. Do Not fire the 308 in mil spec WWII rifles.
A modern version of the 7.62x45 would seem to be a mystery round...
I shoot a 139gr sst in a 7mm rm using the same ammo for the last 17 years , and a down loaded 308 to 300 savage levels with a 125gr nosler ballistic tip for my girls and I use it as a thick woods /creek bottom rifle now. Both shoot heavier well but unless I go out west again for elf or north...
Metal kahrs but same design carry's into the poly cw9.
Bersa metal handguns.
Older s&w 59's. /39's
That 350 bucks is the kiiller of many along with your 2009 thangy.
Most average defense pistols have some slide movement. Way pore than some high end 1911's . Some very tight hand fit pistols have to be shot in and kept cleaner than the average handgun out there . I carry kahrs , they have some wiggle in them vertical and horizontal and still they shoot...
Don't shoot 45 , P+ or super in a 460 barrel. 45auto rest on the case mouth and should not rely on the extractor to keep it held back. Reload 460 to lower pressure or swap barrel and recoil spring
I killed a lot of hogs with a 357 while stalk hunting and a couple with a 308 . Can't out run a hog but being young in an earlier life and quick of reflex sure can save your butt when trees are near. That's also when I learn about point shooting , one hand is for holding on to a small cypress...
My tac fs I think can feed and shoot anything. I have used loads from HP bullets from several companies guy let me try or to reload from 185gr hp P+ to 230 hp 200 gr swc . Also manage to fina guy that had some old full wadcutter bullets and they cycled fine. It will even cycle empty brass. Take...
Buy what you can conceal well be it a 380 or 38 and practice placing multiple rounds in a small area quickly and if all you had was a , 22lr it would not matter much .
