    Silly newbie question

Single staged press will teach you a lot more at the beginning than the progressive like 550. If you don't mind pulling a few "hundred" of reload ammo out (waste time and material-powder) then progress. If you really want to learn about reloading then single will be a good start. Besides when...

    Glock 34 or XDm

I have both. XDm can hold more ammo. It has shorter barrel. Glock does spit brass out all over the place. I have a few blisters from the brass burns. Another thing that is different is the field strip. Glock requires you to pull the trigger but not the XDm. Everything else is preference.

    Robbed--What Now?

Sorry to hear what happened to you. My guns were stolen while I was evacuated for hurricane Ike last year. The guy took 85% of my guns. He couldn't carry the rest with him. When he got home, his father reported him to the police. He was arrested within a few minutes. When I came back the...

    Is Colt Dead?

Colt doesn't care about civilians. If you combine everything Colt ever made, then yes they are still one of the top company in the firearm history. But I sure can't live for another 200 years to see if Colt will live or die. As far as some people are concerned we are talking about present...

    Is Colt Dead?

I do want Colt to be successful. But all they have introduced since their divorce from us civilians have been junks. Before all they had to do is have the word "Colt" on their piece and it would sell. Now Colt = junk. Colt is a good company. They came from bankruptcy before, and showed...

anyone ever make a bullet puller or recommend a good cheapish one?

+1 on kinetic puller. I used RCBS AND Frankford. I believe both have lifetime warranty. I did end up breaking RCBS hammer in two pieces. They replace it without question. RCBS' hammer is a little better and will have less vibration then the Frankford. I think that is due to the middle...

Do have a rifle you've never shot

Too many. Sako, Browning, Les Beaer, SpringField and then some. People asked me why and all I can say is "why not."

    9mm reload confirmation

The more I think about it the more I feel it is fine. Here are my reasons: I can assume that 380 bullets are shorter that 9mm. If you load at 9mm depth then there are more space and less pressure. You loaded with seating height that means that the pressure will be even lower. If that is this...

    9mm reload confirmation

One thing that is important is the overall length of the whole thing. You don't want to seat it too deep, which will cause too much pressure build up. I have Lee and Sierra reloading manuel. From what they have indicated, if you use a lighter bullet, you need to increase powder weight by a...

    an incident

I was using federal sp primers. I think the initial problem was the WCC brass. I tried to put some primers in them and was not successful. Then some primers were deformed in the process. I didn't check on the primer shape. I went ahead and tried to put them back to the pick up tube. I...

    an incident

Thanks guys. I probably will get a Dillon swagger tool for WCC brass. I do have some WCC brass that have primer half seated. How would I deprime them? I used deprime die on them and didn't explode before. Does anyone have a better suggestions? Thanks again.

    an incident

I have a Dillon and requires me to use a primer pick up tube. While I was picking up primers yesterday afternoon, one got stuck, so the rest wouldn't go in. I took the yellow plastic thing off and found that there is a primer that was tuck at the mouth of the tube. One way I thought about...
