    big tumbler from Harbor Freight

If you have things laying around, assuming since you reload. I used a garage door motor, around 1/2-3/4hp with a weight and built my own vibratory tumbler using other spare parts. The only thing I bought was some springs and stud stock.

7.62 nato ammo -- just wanted to ask

Berdan is reloadable if you take the time to deprime and can relocate primers. It wouldn't be high on my list though for that task.

    Longer range pistol shooting?

What is duty style considered? My XD 45 w/4" barrel barely dents an old tin sink at 100yds with standard WWB ammo. Wasn't very impressed at all, but granted I use it as a carry gun and hope to never need it past 25yds.

    AA#2 & red dot

I use Red Dot in my .45 as I also use it in field loads for the shotgun, so it's handy and cheaper for me.

    Clays and 18"

This is what we do, I started out with the 18" since the gun came with it until I found a deal on a longer barrel. It's very doable, just sometimes more frustrating when shooting with buddies with longer barrels. That is until I started practicing with my SP-10

    1911 Long slide questions...

Apparently my luck is not with me today in searching the Internet. I want to build a long slide 1911 in .45, but I have a 1911 itch now. If I pick up a standard in 5", can I convert later to a long slide? IE barrel, spring, slide, and fitting?

Can it be practical to use the same shotgun for home defense and skeet?

I have an 870 that fills this role. I use an 18" barrel at night and the 28" during the day, when I am playing that is..

so whats your preffered method to storing primers?

Mine are just stored on a shelf above my reloading bench. The shelf is cupped so that can't come off the edge, and is a top loading shelf. Also my first batch of primers were close to 30yr old winchesters, $9.99 for a 1000 from Osco Drug. They were part of the reloading equipment my parents...

    Remington 870 Receiver

I think that is everyone's problems with the express's and other models. That is why I am trying the polish route, if that doesn't work, the metal is bare and ready for some duracoat.

    Remington 870 Receiver

Even my SP-10 has a ****ty porus surface like the express. I've put over 5hrs of polishing to that thing to make a nice smooth surface.

is a hole in a mosin nagent chamber fixable?

Maybe not the OP hole, but there is a hole on the bottom side of Mosins for this (according to a few collector sites) where the barrel threads are.

    Shooting trespassing animals

Damn straight if it gets aggressive towards any of my animals. We've had too many problems in the past with dogs and animals, I love dogs and have a a couple but the owners need to learn. If it is just running around it will get bottle rockets shot in it's vicinity. To the OP, being...

HF sells a vibratory bowl with a drain tube that is supposed to handle liquids. Haven't tried it, my vibratory bowls are a garage door motor and a fan motor.

    Old Gunpowder still good?

So if the metal cans are 60-70's, how old is my Herc Red Dot that is cardboard sides with metal tops? Either way it worked great for my buckshot loads. In hindsight it is probably as old as the Mec 700 pre82 I have.

If you join the NRA, don't forget to send letters to them informing them of the BS politics they are part of. The members are the ones that need to speak out on the games they paly as far as the laws go. It's a clear fact that they do support gun control, no if's ands or buts... That's why...

    How's the MEC 600 Jr?

I'm using my grandfather's Pre-84 700 Versamec, I replaced a few small parts that froze up on it, it has been modfied to fit a primer feed tube, that I can't seem to find others that way. It work's great, it wouldn't matter if I went to a progressive as I am loading buckshot, he used it for...
