Yes, we are using them in Afganistan and Iraq. The .308 has so much better stopping power and well worth the weight of lugging it. Soldiers prefer it over the M-16 and M-4.
I've got Colts, Kimbers, FNs, Sigs, Smith's, Berettas, Ruger's, H&Ks, Springfield Armory's, for Autos, but I dearly love my revolvers! Rugers (Blackhawk-5), Colt SAA, Taraurs, Smith, Beretta, they are the one 's that I could'nt do without!
I too have several 3 screws, 2-357, .30 carbine, and a single six 22/22mag. I've just purchased a new Vaquero. I've been gone with the army so I hav'nt had the time to shoot the new one, but it has a LOT of big shoes to fill. I've shot autos for years in my line of work and own a lot of them...
sharpshooter, I've been through the same deal (actually a little worse, my neighbors wanted to come on the property and pee in the mailbox at 1 am).
Put a rattlesnake in the mailbox! That'll stop em! "what'd the doctor say?"
"Doctor says you're gunna die!"
I carry to church, FNP9 (my wife calls it my Sunday go ta meetin gun), with both my pastors blessings! The church decons have ask that LEO and trained military with CCW carry. We have had some problems in our county with people causing problems during church services.
