Hi everyone, I am looking to reload a bunch (500 or so) 147gr FMJ projectiles for my .300 Blackout stash. I have maybe only a few hundred rounds for it I bought and it's all for hunting. I have no real "bulk" or training ammo as it stands.
I have a case gauge on the way for better safety...
Hey everyone. Real quick, I just wanted your opinions on this .380 95 Grain Flat Nose FMJ round for conceal carry/self defense. 6+1 in a stock mag, 8+1 with +2 mag extension. Around 900 FPS average. Flat Nose kind of acts similar to a wadcutter in that it cuts tissue better than a round nose due...
What do you think of .380 FMJ, not Hollow Points, for Self-Defense? Do you think it has good enough ballistic properties? More than enough? Not enough? I plan carrying a Glock 42 with a +2 extension, for a total of 9 rounds of .380 Flat-Nose FMJ rounds.
.380 FMJ round has a .356" diameter btw.

Will an ak (7.62x39) with hollow points or soft nose perform comparible with fmj 5.56 and it's fragmentation, while providing more mass? Just currious as I had a discussion over the classic where does each caliber excel discussion yesterday. Also if you have any knowledge with SP or jhp 5.56...
What is your experience in regards to target accuracy, which bullet performs best?
Hornady 55gr Soft Point with Cannulure #2266
Hornady 55gr FMJBT with Cannulure #2267
Or is the difference too small to see at 100 to 200 yards?
Lots of good bullet sales this weekend!
Is anyone out there using the Corbin die set to make their own .223 Full-Metal Jacket bullets? I've been thinking about buying this die set. If you are doing this yourself, please let me know. If not, you may want to check it out here:
