    Seekins hit for a beginner

Hi all, I'm looking at buying a seekins hit in 308 for target, hunting, and entry level long range training. I plan on topping it with a nightforce atacr 5-25x56 f1, or a vortex razor gen 3. Any experience with this rig? I don't want this thread to go to far down the rabbit hole so please stay...

The journey to making my $400 Walmart gun a precision rifle. Needing some advice

I’m going to try to keep this as short as possible but I’m not sure how. I bought my Remington 770 chambered in 270win back in 2009. I started reloading for it around 2010-2011 or so. Always had decent (sub MOA) groups at 100 but nothing crazy. Usually up to “my” standards for the most part...

I am about to take the PRC plunge ...

... now I must decide between 6.5 and 300. I'm leaning 300. Today I looked at a Savage Elite Precision but they wanted $2,300.00 for it so I decided to think about it a bit more. But heck, the more I look around at some of the other platforms from Wilson, Bergara, Ruger, Seekins, Browning...

    Alternative Magpul PRS buttpad?

I have recently purchased a Magpul PRS gen 3. The thick recoil pad (about 1in) is too thick to get a comfortable length of pull at its shortest adjustment. I called magpul, and they stated that none of their other pads "fit" the prs gen 3. However i was wondering if anyone knew if one of their...

    Powder's effect on accuracy

I have a really odd issue that I have found. I have a Remington 700 VTR in a .308. I have had accuracy troubles in any load, hand or factory, that is not using CFE .223 is there any reason for this? Can a rifle prefer a specific powder? Or is this all coincidence? All opinions welcome, thanks...

Reloading 6.5CM for Ruger Precision Rifle

Was on the hunt for local scope cap and stumbled across a R.P.R. in 6.5 Creedmoor (for the wife;)). After getting it home and reading the manual I started looking at bullets and powders online. When it came time to order reloading supplies google search was helpful in purchasing dies, brass, and...

After Market Stocks and Chassis Systems

Recently, I have been pondering a new rifle. I am planning to buy a factory rifle, and turn it into a paper puncher that doesn't kill me to pack around either, if I wanted to take it hunting big game. Any opinions on calibers are welcome, but I am most interested in hearing what everyone thinks...
