For a extensive O-ring material chemical resistance list, click The O-ring Store.

TLDR- Acetone isn't recommended for buna, denatured alcohol is okay.

Has anyone considered using a rare earth magnet attached outside the shot tube? I wonder if it would make enough of a "magnetic bump" to get the bb rotating.

There’s are several “discussions” And some trials regarding the use of magnets. “Bob E” on 3/18/19 posted on this thread a “blog” from Pyramydair
concerning a successful attempt with magnets.
And I know somewhere on the “putting more power —-“ thread there’s talk about it. Youll have to read thru it ——lots of info.

Hi Guys....Noob to the site.
I’ve been very intrigued by this thread and I too have been contemplating installing a hop up to my:
Crosman DPMS SBR 4.5mm bb airgun
I played airsoft for years and have always kept my hand in the sport however recently I’ve been starting a collection of 4.5mm/.177 shooters.
I love this Crosman it’s decent fun but was more than disappointed in its ability to strength out that increased FPS. I realise a good hop up makes this possible in airsoft. So I started looking and found this thread.

I can appreciate it’s of some age but if anyone is still following this or has achieved success, please take the time to reach out.

I too have started the process and am keen to share what I have planned. Any help or advice would be more than welcomed.
I’m by no means a gunsmith or qualified engineer, however I am a decent handy man/mechanically minded bloke, not shy to tools and the shed. Lol

Look forward to hearing from someone/anyone
