between cleaning my rifle and finally using a rear shooting rest (backpack)
i drilled three shots into the sane hole maybe a whole .25 inches at the most across and the other three shots were within a half inch or so....in the wind:D

so what is the proper or most effective way to use a rest like this

    cheek weld?
    pressure against your shoulder?
normal trigger pull or hold different?

Dispite what your shooting off of I've been told to put as little physical influence on the gun as possible when firing and above all be consistent in your technique. Those two tips alone really helped me shoot tighter groups. Hope that helps some.

When I shoot my 308 off a bag, I dont count on getting a second shot off anytime soon. Almost no pressure on the gun, causes it to jump pretty good.:)
