OK, so, I've had this for awhile, but I just got around to taking some pictures of it, and I figured I'd share for the general oogling.

I was at a gunshow some months back and I ran across a fellow who had taken a couple of plain-jane 10/22 stocks and started carving on them. He had four of them with various amounts of scrollwork and finish. The one I bought had the fanciest scrollwork, but no finish at all. I took it home, sanded it smooth, and put a couple coats of a blonde shellac on it.

Anyway, here it is!

Man, that is a nice stock! The blonde looks great next to stainless. Any info on any more stocks? Was the price comparable to other stocks?

Sadly, I have misplaced his contact information. He had four at the show and was mostly doing it as a hobby. I paid $200 for the stock, which is kind of a lot of money I think, but I appreciated his craftsmanship and wanted to support him (as well as just REALLY wanting the stock!)

Gwinnett county, GA, at the N. Atlanta Trade Center.

There's actually the same show coming up this weekend, and I'll be there!
