I am contemplating replacing the wood furniture on my 10/22. Nothing is wrong with it just like the ar type looking stocks. My only reservation is a change in accuracy. Will replacing the stock with one of the polymer stocks have any adverse affects on accuracy?

I put a Butler Creek folding stock on my 10/22 and it didn't affect its accuracy one bit. Still a tackdriver with Wolf Match Target and CCI MiniMags.

Not usually. Although if I were doing a precision build with a really good barrel I would use something like the Nordic/SR22 platform.

Putting a Hogue overmolded stock on mine and eliminating the barrel band actually HELPED accuracy. It's bone stock otherwise and with the right ammo will shoot 1" at 50 yards now, half what it'd do with the original wood and barrel band.

my 10/22 didn't see any major drop in accuracy when I switched to the archangel stock. if you do get the archangel stock, don't install the bayonet lug and throw the bayonet away...

I installed the Tapco, and I'm more accurate now. I suspect it's the better fit for me as opposed to actually helping the rifle though. This was on the 22" WM stainless that didn't have a barrel band.

I'm really tempted to pick up a 10/22 and slap one of those Archangel Nomad G36-style stocks on it. Somebody please talk me out of it!

I ended up choosing this one: Choate Collapsible M4 Tactical Stock for the Ruger 10/22 - Thought it looked pretty good without having to put in a bull barrel. Lots of stocks I looked at were cool but the factory barrel looked too small and disproportionate to the stock. I think I found a good compromise in an M-4 style.
