whats ridiculous is everyones inability to understand that this was based on the number of hunting permits issued in comparison to all states, and not the number of actual firearms in general owned by all citizens, As this is not able to be truely calculated.
No, what's ridiculous is you found an article that features pathetically poor "research".
Rather than provide proof of your "statistics" you double down.

Texas with a little more than a million firearms? Dude.......thats just NFA firearms.

…The info was offered as a friendly informative offering of what was "at some point" in the last x amount of time true and current, no where in the OP was it ever stated that it was all "current fact" as many have Perceived or assumed it to be.
This sounds like you’re not even claiming that any of it is true. I finally went back and read the thread in more detail. There’s a substantial amount of questionable info in the OP (and I’m trying to be generous here). Did you get that info all from one source? If so, what was the source?

ETA: Upon further review, I spotted this gem in your opening post.
....I have already done my research and know these to be current and true.....
Based on that, I disagree. You did claim those "facts" to be "current and true."

This can be verified since Virginia has its own state machine gun registry.

So did Arkansas, but almost nobody knew about it. They're registered with the Secretary of State's office. When I bought a machine gun I had to go to Little Rock in person and start asking around until I found someone who vaguely remembered they had a form for that, then several clerks went on a hunt through filing cabinets and desk drawers until they found one of the forms. None of them could remember anyone ever filling it one out, even though the FFL I bought my MG from was selling one every week or so.

If the registry still exists, presumably they can just print a copy of the form off a file server somewhere. I didn't find anything about registration for individuals on a quick web search, but it looks like they have their own for FFLs.

A limit on purchases has nothing to do with a limit on possession. Regarding Virginia, it used to have a one-handgun-a-month purchase limit, it was repealed, and then reinstated. I expect it to be repealed again. This depends on which party controls the legislature and the governorship. Whether the limit was in effect, or not, didn't seem to make much difference. People adapted.

This is ridiculous. Most states -- especially Texas -- don't have gun registration.

This is non-responsive to the question. No state "does not allow guns." Some make ownership more difficult than others.

This is a textbook example of "learnin" somebody...

5. What state is the most heavily armed?

Texas was the state with the highest number of registered weapons in the United States in 2021, with 1,006,555 firearms. Rhode Island, on the other hand, had the least, with 4,887 registered firearms

Bull. Texas has exactly 0 registered weapons. Whoever came up with this nonsense obviously can't tell his posterior from a hole in the ground.
