If you want an elegant, small custom knife for under $100, check out the Bush Babies series from Arno Bernard. I just got a "Squirrel" for Christmas- handmade in South Africa, nicely polished, with a warthog tusk handle and a Cape Buffalo sheath. My 40 year old, completely uninterested in any kind of weapon, little sister said "that's freaking beautiful".

Their big knives are really nice, too. But a handmade knife with exotic materials for $100 is really amazing value. Actually looks like they had a bit of a price increase on the 1st, but if you shop around on the 'net, not all the dealers have followed the price increase yet.

Thanks. I just got one for Christmas and I'm rather fond of it. I can certainly see a few more in my future.

The squirrel seems like a really good deal for what you are getting.
