I've loaded 175 cast swc for my Govt model 1911 using 5.5 w231 and 12.4 #9 with good results.
Anyone here used TG and WSF ? Would be curios to see what feedback you guys can give me.
Yes and no. I've used titegroup with lighter lead bullets. I just add a half grain more than my 40 load. Gun functions fine but they are light.
As long as you are not looking for max velocity [which you should not be with lead in the first place] it will work fine.
I would start with 4.5gr of titegroup and move up if the slide won't lock back after the last round.
