Hunters Supply Hard Cast Bullets 38 Cal (358 Diameter) 115 Grain Lead (midwayusa.com)

Placed an order with Midway as they had some bullets in stock, bought a bunch of 158 SWC but picked up some of these just because. Anyone load a similar weight in .38 Special. I have 3 powders on hand, each is a pound of Unique. Thought I might come up with a good load for an old Colt Agent (first edition) standard pressure that may actually have a chance of expanding. Brinell Hardness is said to be 10. Thanks.

They already shipped, hit it a good time.

I have loaded the 125 gr bullets from Hunter’s Supply. I haven’t loaded them with Unique, but they did very good with Bullseye.

I cast a 110gr cramer "gallery" bullet .358" in diameter. It was designed for parlor loads in the 38s&w and 38spl but is actually pretty impressive with hot loads in the 38spl and 9mm's.

In a 3.2" bbl'd 9mm I'm getting 1300fps+ with full house loads of power pistol
In a 2" bbl'd snubnosed 38spl I'm getting 1100fps+ with full house loads of unique

That's not a common bullet weight. But it is the proper hardness for expansion in a 38.
I would prefer a faster powder than unique. But you definitely could have made a lot worse choices.
I bet it would do better than my 90 gr 380 auto loads.
