I would vote for a Republican other than Trump. The Orange Man himself is just a bridge too far. I may do what I did last time, and not for for anyone for president. Not that it matters in the least, because Virginia is certainly going blue.

"Common sense gun reform" has been absolutely destroyed as a slogan by Beto O'Rourke's statement last night (without contradiction by the other candidates) that “hell, yes -- we are going to take your AR-15, AK-47.” That contradicts years of Democratic insistence that "nobody is coming to take your guns away." This also destroys the short-term chances for incremental steps like universal background checks, etc. And it increases Trump's chances of being re-elected. Gun owners owe Beto a debt of gratitude for letting the cat out of the bag.
