150 more for Glock 19 Mos worth it?

I am interested in the g19 more or less for the collection just to have it. I carry a basic g23 for work and I am happy with that. I think the future of service pistols will include mini red dots like the rmr. No way I can afford that now but it might be doable in the next couple years. I can get the 19 now but the 19 Mos is about 150 over budget for me. I could make that up in a couple months so I'm wondering If it would be smarter to and get the MOS now than get the slide cut later?

If you're looking for the internet's permission to buy another gun, consider this a yes.

But really, "worth it," is subjective. If an optic is in your future, great. If you dislike finger grooves, remember we're on the cusp of a new Glock that's already begun to be released to some agencies. And if you can't pay the bills or put food on the table, then maybe it's not worth it. All that being rhetorical and for you to decide, enjoy the new gun if you get it.

I have heard nothing good about the "factory" setup. I personally know 2 people that bounced their dot off their head when it came off due to how short the screws are.

You can have a slide cut for 130 by the guys that started the whole deal along with what ever else is needed. Sights, closure plate, maint kit and anything else you need to complete it as you want.

Just as a point of quality for the machine work. I can take the RMR off my Sig to change the battery and the zero doesn't shift.

Price difference between a non MOS and a MOS is less than a hundred dollars. If you are buying new go MOS. Plus Glock includes 4 different mounting plates. No wait immediate availability no shipping and receiving needed to get your slide milled. Plus your warranty remains intact. Yes optics with MOS tend to sit higher but co witnessing is still possible with the right sights. Its cheaper / easier / better in the long run just getting it done by Glock.
