What revolvers share the same basic dimensions as the 1851 Colts, I think for example the Leech & Rigdon share the same frame etc.
Reason I ask is Holster fitment. If I have a holster that fits a 1851 perfect what else will fit? I know a 1861 will not fit. Keep in mind holster is custom made to the 1851.

I use a pair of custom 1851 Navy holsters to carry:

    1861 Navies
    Griswold and Gunnisons
    Schneider and Glassicks
    Leech and Rigdons, And
    1860 Armies.

The Holsters were originally made for a pair of 2nd Gen 1851s about 8 years ago; but they have been used almost exclusively for a pair of 1861 Navies for the past four.

Thanks F.M. I just retried the 1861 in both holsters and the righthand side fit easy (its been used) and tight in the cross draw, but I think I could reform it with very little work, these are slim jim types.
