Watch Marshall Dillon on Gunsmoke pull his big cavalry from half way down his thigh!!! Smooth!!!
I’m not into bulky drop holster, my gun belt is the stiff velcro linings of my Comp belt from USPSA. Very light weight, and infinity adjustable and very stiff. Been wearing them for years.

anyways, this 8” gun will be my woods or BBQ gun. and I’ll probably get a 51 or 60 RM in .45C for my left side & my 1873 10mm for my right side!

Yeah but those holsters didn't exist.
Neither did Matt Dillon!!!
BUT they are the ones I drew my Mattel Shooting Shells from as a kid so they are MY kind of holster!
Long-live the drop Buscadero holster!
I really wanted one with the knight chess piece but never got it! :(

Drop holsters are great if you're not doing living history or reenacting unless you're reenacting a 1930s to present day western.......... ;)

I rode my Harley like a cowboy transitioning to biker. :p Owens cut the belt flap loose from a regular holster and cut slits in it so it would hang below his double row cartridge belt.

I rod my Triumph with a huge 8x10 camera a tripod strap to it. Shot film back then, Now I shoot bullets!

Funny story was, I got out of college, got a nice job, went to the dealership and ask them to put it back of my truck. Dealer goes, you don’t know how to ride do you son. I said Nope, but one way to find out.

I like the shorter guns too! practicing my spinning into the holster
Haha I’ve never learned that! But when I was younger I used to divide a lot of time between my pickup and a saddle and a short (5.5” or less) barrel is awful handy. These days I’m behind a desk or in the pickup and something shorter than even that is pretty convenient!

Yep, it makes for a really nice companion for hiking around the backwoods!

and look good at same time… nothing worst than someone getting dress up and open carrying a Springfield Plastic with Grip Zone. They conceal those guns for a reason… They UGLY! lol

I just ordered the one on the right for my cattleman.
you’re going to like it! I did trim off a touch of the leather for a more tapper re-holstering. But that’s me, I like the pistol to drop right in without effort!

post photos when you get it!

I did that when I was young with 8 inch guns. I was pretty good at it too. I also did twirling and live fire.
