1860 Army stainless steel ASM

    I don't think Uberti parts fit 1st gens and 2nd gen parts are Uberti. Maybe they do. I dunno.

    I do know that some ASM parts will fit the antique Colts, did a job for a guy recently with an antique that had no internal parts other than the hammer and trigger. Bought ASM parts through VTI. Lo and behold they were a drop in fit.

    @ Hawg If you dont have one already you gotta get you a ASM from the 80's and i think you'll be sold.

    I like Uberti, I like pietta, I LOVE ASM.
    Colt sued them for a reason.
    it put em out of business, its a shame but i just feel blessed to own a few.

    Not really. Colt sued ASM in the 80's for selling revolvers with Colt marked barrels and won. ASM was sold to AWA around 2000. Colt sued AWA and lost. The story on the Colt marked barrels I got from Dr. Jim Davis aka bprevolver who was an authority on repro revolvers. Uberti supplied Colt with the parts to make the 2nd gen Colts. Uberti subcontracted ASM to make barrels. When Colt stopped production ASM was stuck with a lot of Colt marked barrels. Instead of scrubbing the markings ASM put them on their own guns and Colt sued them for copyright infringement.
