AH-HA! Been looking for quite some time, but I've finally stumbled across an item that's been on my Wish List for several years now. (Not that I've been looking very dilegently). If I can muster it off of lay-a-way, I'll bring home my 19-4 2 1/2" round butt! No, it's not in the greatest of shape- but it was one of the one's shipped to Potter County S.O. the same time one of my family members was issued theirs! Who says patience doesn't pay?

The short 19 is cute. I bought and sold two and still have the third after 20 years.

I've been looking for a fair priced(to me) 21/2 or 4'' Model 19 for some time now w/o success. Good luck with yours.

"cute" is not a description I have ever applied to my 2.5" Model 19-4...In fact, I find it to be very serious looking...especially from the buisness end.

Good find (especially the RB configuration). I'm on the other end; I have a few 4" 19-3/19-4 and really want to find an affordable 6".

A blue Model 19, 4" was my first handgun. I foolishly traded it off thinking "I can get another one, someday." Then of course they stopped making them. :banghead:

Someday finally came a couple of years ago in the form of a nickled 19-4, 4". I bought it too early (paid too much probably) but what I paid has caught up with what's being asked for one now.

To the OP. Congratulations! Enjoy it.

A 6" RB Model 19 was my first handgun too. Still have it. Still love it.

My two 6"er's both had larger grips, I guess they were square butts? They also had orange inserts on the front sight ramps, and white outlines on the rear sight blades. Damn, I wish I'd never sold either of them. Sometimes bills just gotta be paid.....

Gotta tell ya----couple weeks ago I stumbled upon a forum notice on another site offering a mod 19-3 2.5"bbl .357 combat magnum. I responded by offering an M&P40C in trade. He accepted the offer and I am a very happy camper. The 19-3 is pinned and recessed and in beautiful condition.

To MY eyes, the 2.5" M19 Smitty is the most beautiful revolver ever made. I'll never get rid of mine.
