You know i haven't seen any 1903's at the gunshows, shops, or any other stores near me. Im just wanting to look and im wondering if you guys have seen one. And if so what do you guys think a reasonable price for one is?

The only ones I've seen have been in a rather expensive local store. They tend to be 600+ (the cheapest are the 03a3). How reasonable they are is up to you. Some people won't put a price on a beautiful piece of history. A soon-to-be-college kid like me finds them unreasonable because I have trouble feeding my single rifle alone.

If your looking into one be sure to check the serial number! Springfield's with numbers below 800,000 are not safe for firing!

Best of luck, and if you get one post lots of pictures! I love almost all 19/20th century military rifles, but the 1903 has a special place on my wish list.

The local shop here has a rough 1903 for 499 and a really nice 03A3 for I think $650. I'm so freaking tempted by that 03A3.
