1911 Cominsator stuck but turns

    I have a para ordanace 191 45acp wth a after market comepsator that dose not want to come off the slide but it turns any one have any ideas on how to get it out so i can clean the gun?:cuss:

    Is it one of those aftermarket comps that takes the place of the barrel bushing?

    Post a photo !!! Most compinsators are semi-permenant ---- they are "locked in" with a VERY high strength epoxy glue , like Loc-Tit etc. ----- also , almost all comps are attached to the guns barrel and not the slide ---- we are really not sure just what you are trying to explain to us !!!!

    there were some aftermarket comps sold that were one piece with the bushing. if this is like yours, you are aware there are two directions the bushing will turn?
