I'm looking for a quality video detailing the proper steps for disassembling and reassembling a 1911 pistol. Any recommendations or suggestions? Thanks for any help?

I got two animated ones from m1911.org just can't remember which one of the sites all linked together. These show a standard 1911 A1 disassembly and reassembly that are easy to understand. Now you might also check the maker's site of the gun you have, for example the RIA site has a total take down video on their site also. Much of this will also depend on how close it matches to the original gun though most can be done buy following it.

Here's a video I made, trying to take the time to provide high quality close ups and thorough explanation of each step. This is not for detailed stripping, but for field stripping. Not sure what you were looking for, but here you go, for what it it is worth.
