I love the grips on the Tactical Custom II Kimbers - Kinda of a purplish color to them (see pic below)

Anyone know where to get similiar ones that do not say "Kimber"? I want a set for my Springfield TRP...

If I HAD to buy a Kimber set, they should fit a TRP Springfield, shouldn't they? Both have a similiar designed magwell...

you'd put grips that say Kimber on them on a springfield!? I think that that's some sort of heresy...probably against the law...;)

    Hi Shipwreck!

Those grips certainly are beautiful, luckily for us non-Kimber owners, we're saved.

Look into the Eclipse line from Kimber, they're the same laminated grips as the Eclipse, without the magwell cut and Kimber logo.

I have a set on my home defense gun, my Colt NRM Government

    Hope this helps! :D

    Black Majic,

Is it just the lighting in the picture, or are there actual wear marks on the dust cover and edges? Looks like mine, sees a little holster time. All those who say a 5" 1911 is too big to carry, see his pics! BTW, I do like the look of those grips.

If you choose to replace the grips on your Kimber, remember to get the square cut grips for the S&A magwell. Brownell's has them.

    Hi there!

This gun is my personal HD gun, so therefore it sees quite a bit of holstertime. I don't mind the wear on the gun though, it reflects how much this guns been shot. :)

I saw those - and I was excited to see them, until I realized that they are not cut for a magwell (actually, I didn't botce that until after U said it, then I looked online). Where as the ones w/ the logo are made for the magwell. My TRP has the magwell.

This is the gun I have - I thought that the grips would look sweet on it.

OK, went to the guns tore, and saw the difference in the grips w/ and w/o the SA magwell. Also found out that the other mags would work. But,s eeing as I don't want that gap down by the magwell, and I also don't want my Springfield to say "Kimber" on the mags, I guess I'll stick w/ the stock mags for now.

Any of you TRP owners can answer another question?

As far as I can tell - no way to put meprolights on the TRP w/o cutting the slide and messing up the armory kote, right? The current sights are Novak night sights, but I prefer the mepros.
