Alright bear with me a moment.
You can buy a AR/15 stock adaptor for most 870s and mossbergs....
This adaptor allows the user to attach any ar15 grips and stock....
so why not use a Pearce adaptor that takes the place of the ar15 grips and allows the use of 1911 grips?
has anyone done this on a shotgun?
or did i give away a really novel idea?

Problem is that on an AR15, you can replace the pistol grip alone. With all the shotgun stocks I've seen, the pistol grip is an integral part of the stock itself, and can't be separated from it. Therefore, you wouldn't be able to mount the Pearce adaptor.
