Does anyone know if these spring loaded guide rods are still made? I want to install one on my 1911 and get rid of that 22.5# spring.

The one I have is a "Fire Dragon" but it says made in USA.
3 parts: recoil buffer with an internal spring, a spring (must be part of the package as I haven't replaced any recoil springs) and a hollow plug. This one is for a Commander; don't know why I didn't use it unless it made the slide too hard to pull. Has to be from around 1985-1990. Paperwork says EFK Marketing in Mesa AZ

I have used the Sprinco in several handguns in the last 15-20 years. The offer them for a bunch of different handguns. You can get them at Brownel's.

    Good luck.
