I've run about 600 rounds of ball through my Kimber Custom II all together now.
The other night I did a fieldstrip to clean out the gun.
I noticed that the guiderod had scratches that ran along the length of the rod it in the 10 'clock position if your looking at the gun from the rear. The guiderod gets oiled everytime I clean it. ?
What would bind against the guiderod that would cause this. I checked the frame and bushing for "shiny spots" and that check came up negative. Could I have put the spring in backwards or does that matter?
Help.
TIA
