The Brothers, (they were never twins, even factory fresh) Mine [Grey VZ grips] and my wife's [walnut] 1911s. both are Metro Arms "American Classic II"s.
Hers seems to suit her well and is the more accurate one by a long shot, mine is adequate and not much more, but i bought it with the intention of eventually stripping it the frame and slide and rebuilding from scratch. haven't gotten to the point yet (kind of leery of gutting it without having something else to shoot while i rebuild it) , but hopefully soon.

I've had this pistol for a year and a few months. Got it the day I got my CPL in the mail ;). Still having a lot of fun.

Just love the name. Busted out laughing. I was 12 years old before I found out my name was Dusty, my dad always started out " Damn it boy, just how many times do I have to tell you..........!:cuss:

Glad you like it Dusty, it's been my nickname on construction jobs for the last 20+ years. You don't get to chose your nick - it's given by the crew you work with.

I made so many of the guys exclaim, "Damn it boy!" for something I did or said, it just seemed to stick. Now it's engraved on all my tools and I had a logo made up for my job box.

I even had t-shirts made.

But what did you think of my matchmaster?

ps - great looking collection ghitch!

Not very pretty, but it works.
Yeah yeah yeah not a 1911, but it's a mutant clone of one.

Nothin' too special... except for the WWI-vintage Colt 1911... :D
