1911 SA magazine rubber bumper pad add -on

    anyone make a rubber bumper pad that with fit the standard SA 1911 magazine

    Does it have two little holes in the floorplate?
    If so, there are several makes of base pads that will screw right on. Check Brownell's and maybe Midway.
    If not, you can get the Pachmayr kit with drill jig. Caution, the Pachmayr screw spacing is different from all others.
    Or you can do what I did for my Sig-Sauer P220 and get a sheet of adhesive backed rubber furniture pad and cut out pads to stick on.

    I made some in about 1975 out of rubber shoe sole material, and glued them on with Formica contact cement.

    They are still on.

    I recently installed a S&A mag well on my 1911 so I was in the market for base pads as well.

    I got them from here and used Gorilla glue on the degreased and lightly sanded bases of all my magazines. They have stood up very well to range use, but talk to me in a few years or when they fail, whichever comes first ;)
