Finally got it!
29 3/16" barrels (I would guess this is 30" nominally) , F& F, weight can't be over 6 lbs. Even with 2 1/2" shells (it's chambered 65 mm) it kicks a bit. Would not want to shoot a lot of Trap with it, or shoot a duck flurry.
Greener cross bolt/underlug, it has the old-fashioned 1" sling swivels. The bores are immaculate. There is some patina, and a few wood dings. I should look so good at 94! A classic European shotgun that is perfect for upland bird hunting.

Gut Krupp Fluss Stahl!

Very nice! I suspect the barrels are metric in length, possibly 75? (that would be 29.5")

That makes sense. He told me 30", but I put the tape measure to them and got 29 3/16". It patterns tight from both barrels, which is fine, I have hunted pheasant, chukar, and grouse with Full choked 12's before.
It pops right up into the shoulder for me, and will carry better that the 1100 Competition all day. Now to order some RST's come payday. They have 1200 fps 1 oz in paper hulls, and 1125 7/8 oz. in both paper and plastic hulls, still

One of my friends has a 28 gauge that comes in at 5.5# - almost TOO light, especially without long barrels

Bet it has a bit of kick to it. A guy I shoot leagues with has a 28 ga. Rizzini. He shot the sub-gauge event at the Family night at the range 2 years ago, and was beat by a 13 year old girl with a 20ga. He said that thing pounded him because it was so light.

I do not want to alter it in any way. I've been advised to lengthen the chambers also, but it's not happening under my watch.
GOOD! because lengthening either the chambers or forcing cones nay or may not be safe depending in the thickness at those areas. I hate to do that and have a barrel "let go".

You can ream the forcing cones without lengthening the chambers, short forcing cones were made for shells that were sealed with a cardboard over shot card. The modern shells unfold causing an added restriction at the end of the shell. By changing the angle you lessen the restriction. If you don't want to do it by all means don't. It made a world of difference on my old Parker with Damascus barrels, 100 s of shots through it with no problems and it doesn't thump me near as bad as it did before reaming the cones.
