I see these are for sale from Classic Arms. They're built by Century. Anyone have any experience with these? I'm trying to find a standard AK clone that is decent out of the box. Two of my friends are interested in dipping their toes into the platform. They would like to keep the price under $600 but still have something functional. They're a bit leery about getting a Romanian WASR10 due to some bad press, (mine's great), and I don't think they're up to converting a Saiga.

Anything good or bad about this AK? Any other suggestions?

Get a Saiga.

If they know which end of a screwdriver is the operational end, they can convert it.

If they're absolutely set against an afternoon in the garage, Henderson Defense "Certified WASRs" are a pretty good deal.
