I have the following new in the box - never been fired. Looking for an idea of what it is worth.

    -Barrel: 32 inch s/n VM 65363
    -“*Special Steel 12 Ga. Shells_3”_32”
    *= full choke
    -Purchased 9-18-76
    -Made in Belgium

    Thanks, Jim

I have 2 books that show prices from $950 to $1200. Sounds low to me. If it was mine I wouldn't take less than $1500.

Your response makes a lot of sense

Thanks for reply. I am seeing the same numbers from the books and they seem awfully low to me. I know there are a lot of Auto 5's out there but how many are new in box and absolutely in pristine condition? $1500 or more seems somewhat more reasonable to me but even that seems low for a 34 year old NIB Belgium made model. I think what I really need to do is find a true collector.

I am also into vintage tube stereos and the real values for the units I refurbish to mint condition are about 3 to 4X what the vintage stereo blue book says for what its worth.

    Thanks again.
