    SiG/Sauer P225...1987

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey gang...I just to picked up a nice condition SiG Sauer P225 made in 1987...Tysons Corners, VA on the slide (two US places ago for SiG...pre Exeter and Herndon) and wondered if there is anything I should be aware of?
*I know it needs new springs as some appear to have little tension...the recoil spring does not feel as "tight" going on as I remember of my other SiGs from the past.
    *The screws need replacement.
*The roll pins should be replaced (a couple I can EASILY push out).
*It could use new sights...I like the bar dots and I think I still have a pair or two around here somewhere but these were abused a bit (nicks and bangs)and have little "black" left on them.

SiGARMS is offering the $99 special, thorough cleaning and check up...ALL NEW SPRINGS and SiG Lite Night Sights...with shipping this seems like it might be the ticket, what do you all think about that?...
    Thanks,
    Bill

SIGARMS' $99 special would be a great value for your P225. Below are photos of my 1988 P225:

...thanks Doc...what do you think has been my screensaver today (prior to seeing your response here!...:D )...I am thinking about Tripp's hard chroming of the same pieces you show there...just trying to decide IF I do it, should I have it hard chromed first or worked by SiG first...:scrutiny:
Thanks for the pics and hope you don't mind the use of your wonderful pics for dreamin'

Ok, so some new screws, all new springs and pins and new SiG Lite Night Sights possibly some Hard Chroming...whaddaya think??? This one was carried a lot and shot much less...inside it all looks great but the exterior is only rough on the surface...no deep scratches or gouges...
