For those that think we are in no danger from al-Qaida in America.

2/3 of Palestinians want al-Qaida to hit West
PA TV regularly runs sermons urging killing of U.S.-led 'infidels'
    http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=48078

A new poll finds 65 percent of Palestinians "support al-Qaida actions in the USA and Europe."

According to Palestinian Media Watch, the survey was published by the Palestinian Authority this week.

PMW believes there is such a high percentage of Palestinians that support al-Qaida terrorism partly because of the prevalence of PA broadcasts that call for the killing of "infidels," or non-Muslims.

Stated the deliverer of a televised sermon last month: ""Destroy the infidels and the polytheists! Your [i.e. Allah's] enemies are the enemies of the religion. … Count them and kill them to the last one, and don't leave even one."

Noted Palestinian Media Watch: "This prayer – clear incitement to the genocide of 'infidels,' a term that includes the Christian West – is common from PA religious leaders. Prayers to annihilate all infidels have been included in Friday prayers on PA TV at least six times in recent months."

Two of the sermons were delivered by Yusuf Jum'a Salamah, PA minister of the Waqf and religion, the most important religious office in the PA, the media watchdog group reported. PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas was present on at least one of the sermons.

Palestinian leaders calling for the destruction of "infidels" have clearly stated that group includes the United States and the United Kingdom.

"The infidel countries – first and foremost, the USA – have succeeded greatly in tearing our Islamic world apart," stated Yusuf Abu Sneina on "Voice of Palestine," Sept. 2.

While Palestinian Authority political leadership does not include incitements to violence in media statements, "Arabic sermons to the Palestinian population, PA religious leaders have been praying for years for the destruction of Western countries," Palestinian Media Watch noted.

This is pretty much the answere to why we support Israel, and why we always will. Say what you want with the problems with Israel, they are opposing a population that wants to kill us, that makes them the good guys no matter what.

Of course its a bit of a nasty cycle. As long as the Palestinians support terrorism against the U.S. we will continue to support Israel. As long as we support Israel the Palestinians will continue to support terrorism against the U.S. On the other hand, if we were to suddenly withdraw all of our help to Israel, would the Palestinians suddenly stop their support for terrorism? I doubt it, personally.

    Absolutely, GoRon.

Afterall, religion IS the opiate of the masses.

There's no way any secularists with such a materialistic view who all know that religion is just the opiate of the masses would ever rack up as big a body count as the bloody religions of the world have.......

There's no way that a materialistic worldview like that would rack up, say, 100 million dead people in about 75 years or so........Just no way......

Forget the term "Palestinian". There haven't been any new ones since 1947, and no one ran them out of Israel except the Grand Mufti and he is one of them.

They are a bunch of leeches without the will or desire to do anything but BM&G. stop giving them the status of a nation, they aren't and never were.

And it's not like hyper-religious people who disagree slightly about whose god likes what done which way haven't been butchering each other since the beginning of civilization, either. It's a silly argument. All people invent stupid reasons to kill each other, whether or not they choose to blame it on God is irrelevant.

Stick to the topic at hand: that a bunch of people who really, really don't like Israelis and really, really don't like westerners would like to see more of us dead.

Two older women I know are in the same (extreme fundamentalist Pentecostal) church that is being torn apart over the issue of whether women should ever wear pants. Seriously. But you know what -- they aren't trying to kill each other (or my pants-wearing wife) over it. :uhoh:

Who cares what they 'think'? They've already demonstrated they're incapable of self-governance, preferring to hate and kill instead. If Israel and the West were to disappear tomorrow, this rabble would continue living in squalor and poverty for the next thousand years.

Much more fun to riot and blame others than to do your homework!:D

The PA bears watching. We must not ignore these wannabe totalitarians. Let them rant, if they raise a hand, we kill them all.:)

I dunno 'bout that. Good ol' godless societies created by the Leftist economic theories have done a slam bang job of killing off their fellow man. They have a tremendous and altogether remarkable history of violating human rights. How many million did that "man of the people" Joe Stalin have liquidated again?

I'll take God over Government any day of the week.

Are we providing monetary support to the Palestinians?

If so why? They dance in the streets at the deaths of our citizens. They dance in the street at the death of our allies.

Why don't we let them starve or let the nations of the ME take care of them.

When was the last time you heard of a "Born Again Christian" strapping a bomb to himself and blowing up a bus of innocent people?

Please be aware that the Palestinians aren't exactly loved by the rest of the Moslems in the Mid East. Pretty much everybody hates them and believes them to be troublemakers who will never pick the right side of anything....and don't know how to take a good deal when they see it. The MidEast has been burned out by these idiots over the past 50 years just like the rest of us.

This I get from my Kuwaiti daughter-in-law backed up by her Iranian and Iraqi relatives. Think of the trouble they caused in Libya (thrown out), Lebanon (destroyed it and got thrown out), and Jordan (tried to take over the government and got thrown out - Black September)...and now in Gaza and the West Bank. The support they get from other Arab states is 99% lip-service.

The odds-on money in the ME is that with them confined now to their own territory...a civil war is just around the corner.

Don't you think that there could have been a resolution to the 'Palestinian question' in the past 55 years if the Arabs really wanted one? These people are not trusted by anyone over there...and for good reason. Every country that has tried to take them in has gotten trashed.

The United States shouldn't spend the energy it takes to spit to try and aid these people until they show that they're not savages still living in the 7th century....and that ain't going to happen soon.
