2 new knives what do I have?

OK so I am not a big knife guy, so I dont follow trends and details. Can you help tell me rate the quality of my two new knives.

Knives of Alaska: D2 is good steel. Read good things about the maker, so it is all down to the design you like.

The Gerber? For $99 I could buy four Kershaw OSO Sweets, probably a good or better knife.

Well I got the Gerber in yesterday, and I really like it. I don't know if it is a $64 knife, but it is solid, opens really fast, locks positively. Very sharp. I could do without the safety.
