I was going through my load data and was wondering what would be a great load for hunting pheasant ? I have a variety of 2 3/4" hulls . My loader doesnt like rem hulls . I have fiocci , win AA , Federal . How heavy of a shot charge and how much velocity ?

For 2-3/4" 20ga a 1 to 1-1/8 oz load of #4, 5 or 6 shot at 1,200 fps + would duplicate the typical Super X field load. Check the Alliant load manual for the appropriate wad, primer and powder charge for the hulls you want to use. You will need Herco or Blue Dot for the best velocity.

A 366 progressive . I have to change the priming stations around too much to accomodate them . Then I have to change it back . The win 209 primers dont like to seat completely w/o some drastic changes . All of the other hulls I listed work better w/o a lot of wrenching . My Apex 12 ga doesnt like them either .
