20 gauge O/U recommendations

Looking for a 20 gauge 26" 3" choked shotgun for under $1200. What do you recommend and where would I find it? Any bargains out there?

I have a CZ 20 ga OU. It is my favorite Grouse/Woodcock gun. My hunting buddy has a Beretta Onxy and really likes it, but it is out of my price range.

I have a Savage/Fox SxS for half that.........otherwise, look for a Browning or Beretta USED - add in SKB and you have a wide variety of possibilities

Used Berettas, Brownings, SKBs, Mirokus, Winchester 101s, etc.

I have a Ruger Red Label in 20ga o/u. Its a great little gun and swings very nicely. You're not likely to find a new one for $1200, but a nice used one I would think you could do - if you can find one.

Personally I dont think they get all the credit they deserve, but maybe theres something I dont know about them?

I would take a look at the 20ga 26" upland Weatherby gun made by SKB at CDNN.

It's a bunch of gun for $899.

My favorite O/U 20 gauge was a Ruger Red Label. Sweet shooting shotgun. Always a hit at the range. Traded it for a Kimber TLE/RL II. Didn't have much invested in it and didn't spend much time breaking clays anyway. Can't say that I really miss it, but if I was in the market for a bird gun I would get another Red Label in a heartbeat.

Browning citori, usually go for a bit more than that nib but sometimes you stumble on a deal, as I recently did.
