Anyone been able to dowload the new AZ hunting regs? They posted them on the website today but the server has apparently been overwhelmed. I can't seem to get more than 10% downloaded before it hangs, and that 10% takes forever, or at least it feels like it.

If you've been able to download them, any chance of helping a guy out and posting them here?

Haven't had a chance to look at it yet.

One good thing I did here is that we Arizonians can do online draw permits this year.

I'm heading up to the White Mountains on Thursday for our Turkey hunt in unit 1. Will also be looking for elk since we put in for 1/27 for bulls.

boy I thought they were going to really hike up the out of state permit prices on elk this year. I guess not :(

General deer tags are down again does anybody remember the amount of tags they had for last year?

We do a big annual archery deer hunt in unit 1 just a few miles South of Reservation Lake. Never had an elk tag there but I seen some real nice bulls in that area as well as some nice drops. Killed a cat there while up in one of my stands. She is now on my wall:D

Check out the table with the prices for next year

Actually they're up by about 100 from last year, but that's because they eliminated most of the rut season tags and replaced them (plus some) in the Oct-Nov seasons.

Just got back from the Unit 1 turkey hunt and boy was it a blast. Birds weren't talking too much but I seen hundreds of elk and around 40 deer. Also, found quite a lot of birds but the gobblers would only talk back when roosted in the mornings. Once they hit the ground they clammed up.

Did score a Jake in the last hour of our hunt today. Planned on getting back to camp around 10 and on the way back from off of Rd 68 we seen 2 jakes crossing the road. I jumped out and got ahead of them and took down the bigger of the two. The other one ran back towards the road and my buddy bagged him. All in all it was a great trip. Got to see Unit 1, caught some nice trout and froze my butt off;)
